I’m back in Charlotte NC July 1-8, and there’s actually some pretty cool things going on in the city during that time! As if my last blog post weren’t filled with enough great date ideas for Charlotte, here are some more time-sensitive ideas for while I’m in town!
Summer Cocktail Evenings at The Duke Mansion- nightly!
This is a lovely event that runs the entire month of July, and takes place on the grounds at The Duke Mansion! It’s a cash bar and free to get in, so why not take a stroll through the grounds while sipping a cocktail to help stave off the summer heat? All proceeds from the cocktails go towards helping preserve The Duke Mansion, so it’s also for a great cause.
Celebrate America, with fireworks, of course!- July 3rd
What would a Fourth of July weekend be without fireworks? The Charlotte Symphony will set the tone with a night of patriotic favorites, including a grand finale complete with fireworks. The show starts at 8:15 on July 3rd at Symphony Park at Southpark Mall.
Paint & Play’s Three Year Anniversary- July 4th, 10am-12pm
The #1 urban art showcase in Charlotte is celebrating three years! There’s tons to do, including sip & paint, spoken word, line dancing, and more. Free food, free events, raffles, and more! I think it would be a lovely way to spend the afternoon, getting to know one another and having a great time!
Taste Carolina Uptown Food Tour
Let’s explore the flavors of Uptown on Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours guided walking tour of the city! We’ll stop at several unique, independent restaurants to sample chef’s creations and learn about Charlotte’s culinary history and culture. This tour highlights dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, as well as Charlotte’s most wonderful foodie finds! The tour is $67 per person and starts at 1:45pm Tuesday through Saturday.
